The Remotely Funny Staff Newsletter by QUT Science and Engineering Faculty was a refreshing take on traditional internal email newsletters and the submission material was a pleasure to read.
We especially liked how the submission did not focus on traditional email marketing KPIs such as click-throughs and open rates. Instead, the success was measured by how much it uplifted spirits and encouraged positivity during particularly trying times.
This email campaign by ghd Hair is one of our CMO’s favourite submissions. This campaign features an animated gif of a phone message which really draws you in. It’s a unique and effective way to deliver engaging content. And the fantastic results speak for itself!
10 play have taken the traditional TV guide and turned it on its head in a surprising and clever way, serving their audiences up with the fresh, the unexpected and the creative. The 10 play Sunday newsletter promotes cross-channel content for the upcoming week. It features a simple yet eye-catching design with creative CTAs that makes you want to click. As their submission outlined, “It’s simple, fun and easy – like Sunday morning!”
Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. The purpose of their email series was to communicate project benefits and inform all their stakeholders on any important updates.
They achieved exceptional results overall. The design is simple and easy to read. The email campaign series was a great use of email marketing as part of a multi-channel strategy.
